Justice for the Homeless

Everyone Needs a Place to Sleep in dignity and supported by community

Saturday, Nov. 26 – 1 p.m.

Confederation Park

499 George Street North, Peterborough

Peterborough, let’s show we care about the crisis of homelessness.

Please put the date on your calendar, forward the poster and information to family, friends, colleagues and professional and recreational groups (faith communities/service clubs/reading clubs, etc.).

Come with your banners, your signs, posters and placards for a peaceful and positive rally. Peterborough appreciates what the City has done, is doing and will be doing to house people experiencing homelessness. But it is not enough!

There are people sleeping rough, couch surfing and forced into unsafe situations because of poverty, mental health or addictions challenges. This rally will listen to the voices of those experiencing homelessness and their allies.

There will be music to lift our spirits and to inspire hope, because Peterborough knows how to be the heart and soul of a caring, transformative community!

We will gather from noon to 1 p.m. when the speeches and music will begin. Be creative!

Noise makers and drums all welcome in the interests of raising hope and courage to meet the goal of ending chronic homelessness, as pledged by the city, by 2025.

Organized by PATH and partners in ending homelessness.
